Joe did ya see the high ISO from the B&W only new chip thats in the monochrome? Pretty clean at 10,000 ISO.

Rumors about an M 10 in the fall with new CMOS chip. Real clean high ISO. I would only look to Leica for rangefinder. Its where their really good glass is.

iso 10,000 M10 will make me pull the trigger for sure, I wonder how long the waiting period would be.

Cheers,
Tony

There have been rumors of an M 10 for a couple years now. I've been producing almost all B&W in my personal work lately the monochrome is a perfect fit in the way I'm seeing. I hope to see it before the end of Sept but I was told it cold be the first of the year. I guess theres a wait for the new 35 summilux to. I'll bet the waiting list for the M 10 if it indeed has the low light capabilities it should have will be a long one.

As long as Leica remembers who they are and they don't try to make a FPS auto everything camera then I think the M 10 will be an outstanding range finder.

Sweet, Allen! Congrats. That MM is sure to be an amazing camera once people get their hands on it. Granted, it's a niche within a niche but all of the images I've seen so far (especially those with the insane 50AA lens) are very rich.

I'm not too worried about an M10. To be honest, the M9 already does what I need.

Heck, John Mayer (yes, that one) recently picked up a FILM Leica (external link). If it's good enough for him... :)

Thanks now the waiting is as Tom Petty said, the hardest part. I have been seeing a real trend in my personal work over the past few years and a real return to B&W. In fact almost everything I've shot in the past few years that I take serious is B&W in finished form. So this and a 35 summilix will fit the way I am moving wit ha 21 summilux to be added a bit down the road.

Oh yeah, the wait is never easy, is it? Sounds like a perfect match, though. I look forward to seeing some shots!

To keep you busy, we've been keeping a list of all the M Monochrom articles and reviews (external link)... Though you may have seen a lot of them by now.
