All I know about this locomotive is what's on the RR's website.

Alco S1 Switcher #1008 “Everett E. Howland, Jr.”
Former Portland Terminal 1008, Built 1949, used by the former Portland Terminal on the Portland waterfront connecting terminals and moving freight cars down Commercial Street. Alco six-cylinder, 12 inch-bore, 13 inch-stroke, 660 HP.

The conductor was nice enough to give myself and my two friends a free upgrade to ride in the cupola of the caboose. Surprised he did that, since he yelled at me for sticking my head out the window with my 70-200.. heh oops.

Enough chit chat, photos follow, C&C welcomed
-Nick
