On July 7, 2012, the USS Iowa museum opened to the public in San Pedro, CA.

It looks like there is no way for the barrels to rotate...like they were put through a solid piece of metal

Ok, that makes sense. Since the Iowa has 16 inch guns, then its barrels would be about 67 feet long. I have not looked up the specs, but judging from the photos, that's about right.
