Thanks for the kind words. As for the processing, Silver Efex Pro is the best for a reason. I think this one actually has a green filter on it too. Different filters can really change how it looks, especially shadows, etc.

I have a "show us your Silver Efex Pro images" thread on here - your photos would fit in very nicely:

wow i want to THANK my fellow 5D3ers for having my back and support, sometimes when i think the POTN forum is in a downward spiral, moments like this make me glad i still hang around. of course this feeling can change back in a few hours.

i personally didn't think David was even being critical. i think he was just commenting on how somethings in the past that were considered flaws ( not sure if thats even the right word to use?) are now looked at as a style. and i think this happens in pretty much every art form and of course is subject to ones own taste and likes.

we as photographers "artist" are somewhat conceited. we figuratively grab people by the arm and pull..or push them in front of our work, tell them to look at it and expect them to like and understand it and of course this is not always the outcome. (just my thinking)

sorry to you guys for not giving my input sooner (not that it's even needed.) i was to busy trying to sell some stuff to help get my EF 300 f4 IS fixed!

again thanks to everyone.

You inspire me bro!

I love your pics, so I actually got Silver Efax Pro not to long ago. :) The previous shot I did of Big Ben was PP with it.

So today I sorta went above and beyond my usual ISO limit and shot at 12800 - 16000.

It was a dark place, and I only brought my 24-70. Had to keep the shutter speeds reasonably high since there were a couple of kids.

I must say it was hard to shoot, and so many times I missed focus, cos I haven't shot stuff like this in a while. Luckily it was just a friendly gathering.
