Wonderful imagery AP! Particularly that first tiger photo; excellent composition, lighting and love those highlighted specks that I assume are tiny droplets of water. Very nice indeed :D

Beautiful pictures Sandra! I've been told our local zoo will soon be receiving a Red Panda, something I'm very much looking forward to seeing. The Pallas Cat is gorgeous and you've captured a wonderful expression, same as with the expression of the Gorilla.

I couldn't recognise the species of the delightful cubs, but looking up "Vissende" I know I'm now looking at Fishing Cats; which I should have recognised, as they're native to southeast Asia and we also have this species up at our zoo. Thanks again for sharing :D

This is a female Siamang, one of four different gibbon species we have up at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Thailand. Siamang are the largest of the gibbon family and are native to the forests of Thailand, Malaysia and Sumatra, though their numbers in the wild are unfortunately decreasing due to loss of habitat, poaching and hunting; as such, they are an endangered species.

I love the SIamang's expression, as it always seems to say so much. The caption I gave this shot is "Regrets, I've had a few ... " :D

Thanks Sandra, and yes, they are indeed one of the most beautiful species of primates, especially this lady! She recently gave birth (June 19th) and I was lucky enough to capture a few images of her with her baby for the first time just four days later. I will continue to document this newborn's growth and development, perhaps sharing more images here, but thought you might like to see my favourite shots so far:

Thank you Knock2ice! One of the things I love most about Khao Kheow Open Zoo is that the animals are so well-cared for, something I believe that contributes greatly toward their mental well-being and is one of the main reasons why this zoo sees such a consistent growth in animal population by way of natural procreation; every few months there seems to be a new birth to one species or another, which of course provides a photographer like me great opportunities!

This is a mother Red-Shanked Douc Langur with one of her young; he was born on May 7th 2011. There are four adult females and a dominant male in this troop and on November 20th 2011 another baby was born, followed by yet another on December 1st 2011. Their keeper recently informed me that another baby is already on it's way, perhaps in another month or so.
