well, plus the 70-300 green-ring DO version, which is a more compact yet poorer IQ that the non-L version...

Ah, yeah, that..thing. Some people swear by it, but man the bokeh is unpleasant with the bullseyes all over the place.

Very great pictures as usual Alex, you should shoot portraits more often!

To start this thread up, here's a 5 shot handheld pano with the 60D + 6.5mm Opteka I made during my tour.

Thanks, I was thinking of the Tokina 11-16 but this lens looks good to me too:)

Above 5.6 it's sharp and produce wicked good images for the price (around $250) and most reviewers gives it a good score.

"The build quality of the lens is very high. Unlike most modern lenses the lens body is not made of more or less cheap plastic but metal and it's a joy to use the damped focus ring. Samyang is not only a pretty good lens it is also a very affordable one and as such we can recommend it to all ultra-wide angle enthusiasts out there"

ps. if you scroll up you see a photo taken by me on a ladder going into the sky, it's with the Samyang 8mm.

Here's where to find the chart including MTF(resolution) of known lenses for canon.

http://www.photozone.de/canon-eos (external link)

between Sigma 30mm f1.4, canon ef28mm f1.8 and canon ef50mm f1.4

base on that site above,
the 50mm wins in every aperture. and the 50mm is the cheapest.... buying it now.

Yea, i bought it awhile back and i absolutly love it. A friend of mine has the Canon 50mm 1.4.. that's even better and a real beast when it comes to portraits.
Enjoy your 50mm :)

thanks bent. it's coming on friday with a hood. i don't use UV filters so a hood is a must for me before using any lens.
