just picked up my 1DX today.. CPS price@ $5950 CAD.

I'm just waiting to see some images from the 1Dx at low ISOs that match some of the images I've seen from the 5D Mk III as far as bold, vibrant, rich, lifelike colors go. Most of the images so far that have been posted from the 1Dx IMHO have been rather flat, dull, boring even. (Except for that cheerleader photo)

I'm not doubting or bashing the camera whatsoever, and I understand not too many people own one, but so far, the photos I've seen from it haven't really blown my socks off.

I'm talking about photos that look rich, vibrant, almost lifelike, such as these:

Now those are the types of images (looks wise...color, vibrancy, brilliance, sharpness etc) that I'm hoping to see from the 1Dx.

Seems to be a tendency amongst many, all the same! I think the 1Dx will be able to output precisely what the operator wants...why wouldn't it?

I happen to like, rich, vibrant, bold, eye popping colors. The real world is full of rich, vibrant, bold, eye popping colors.

Why pay thousands of dollars for a camera only to produce dull, flat, boring, almost colorless images?

BTW I don't find any of the photos in the samples I posted to be oversaturated. I just think they look realistic to how the subject looked to the photographer when they were at the scene. Lifelike!

You like over saturated color, I like my colors subdued... or as you like to call the images of everyone who has posted here!... dull, flat and boring....

Secondly, quit putting words in my mouth! I did not say that the images of EVERYONE who has posted here are dull, flat and boring! I said MOST of the images were!

Again, I don't like oversaturated colors...I like REALISTIC colors!! The samples I posted are NOT oversaturated, they are REALISTIC, LIFE LIKE! That's how they would look to anyone who was there when the photographer took the photos! Maybe it was because it was a bright, beautiful, brilliant sunny day, whatever!

We are all entitled to our own opinion, and this just happens to be mine.

oh... that red book... it's the manual in French.... we are bilingual in Canada.
