In each end is a piece of equipment called an expander. The expanders then mount into the hooks mounted on the wall (in Frank's picture, it looks like he has several hooks on a bracket system). One end has a gear system with a chain so that the expander can be turned and the paper rolled back onto the roll. The chain allows you to do this while still standing on the floor and you don't need a ladder or to take the roll down to reroll the paper. Kevin

I have 12' ceilings, and I can roll out paper to reach the entire length of our living room. Luckily we keep it sparingly furnished. Can't see it well but that is a Softlighter II as the main (didn't have my Qbox out for this):
