I think #3 is my favorite. Could you do a tighter crop?

How much was the housing? Did you have anything on to help you float above the water?

Awesome shots
Not sure I'd take my 60D in the ocean even with a case

Great images. What methods/techniques are you using to minimize glare, reflection, etc in that environment? It seems like the cull rate would be extremely high with so many variables added to the normal OOF, blur, exposures, etc. issues encountered on land with sports/action photography. Again, very impressive images.

Really cool stuff. I was looking at those SPL housings last week but don't have the $$$ for one right now. They don't list the prices on their site - can you give us a ballpark to what you invested in the housing?

Enjoy

Yeah you have to email Sean to get the prices. A a series housing Which is more for surf photography will run you around $1750 cash. And it comes with everything bedded including pistol grip and lens port. A splash series which is rated up to 40ft will run you around the same. But only for A series you can add flash mounts.

I uses center point AI servo at Full burst. To keep water off the grot port you have to spit on it and it keeps the water from leaving dropes. Other wise you just set you aperture to F8 and let the camera choose the shutter speed.
At ISO250 I'm getting around 1/1250 which is at enough to not cause motion blur with the water.

I'd say you and your gear did well in salt water. #2&3 for me.

Best, Bruce
