Some captures from a trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park couple of months back, plenty of varied photographic ops from layered vistas to streams, forests, wildlife, wildflowers, etc. Only NP I've been to which does not charge an entrance fee. Had a great time, definitely want to go again.

Awesome stuff! Heck, I live nearby and hike there on a regular basis... but I never seem to take the time to really stop and photograph it. Looks like I need to plan some photo outings.

BTW, I just saw where Art Wolfe is going to have a workshop in the Smokies. $2k for 3 days... nothing included but the workshop. Ouch!

Those are some great images. Looks like you had an excellent trip. I looked at your Flickr set, and really liked the B&W shots.

Wow! Those are stunning. I wish that they were larger. I guess I'll have to go look at you're Flickr site. Maybe that was your plan... ;-)a

Those are great! I was there almost a week ago, and I kid you not 15 minutes into when I began shooting, it started raining cats and dogs. I definetly want to go back as there are many thing I saw ther that I would've done had there been no rain.

Oh snap!

Awesome shots. Where abouts is this?
I have an app on my ipad that has National Parks in the USA. Just a pipe dream for me at the moment, to get over there and do some photography.

Thanks for sharing.
