well I have been doing alot of weddings lately, and f2.8 is just not good enough for me but I use the 24-70 95% of the time for studio work......I am seriously considering selling the 24-70 for the amazing 35L, do you guys think this is a smart move or not?

I did the same but from a 24-105. Best thing I did in my photographic career!

Same for me. Also sold Tokina 28-80/2.8 for this lens, but still not bought it yet.

No problem.

Also, the 35L would compliment your 10-22 and your 85mm very well!

I was blown away by the lighting it is capable of using.

I've just got the 35L and I must say I really like it. It just absorbs light compared to the 24-70.
I will keep the 24-70 for situations where I need more flexibility.
But for now the 35 is my walk around lens. Always loved the 35-ish angle on ff.
You will not be disappointed with only the 35L.

A friend of mine already had a 35L so I could borrow it for a week before I bought my own. Maybe you can rent one for a weekend?

While the 35 is a great lens, you say 95% of your studio work is with the 24-70 , what will you shoot with then?? I did the same thing you did, while I love my 35 i miss the 24-70's flexability
