The torch went from Deptford to Bromley this morning, which was my chance to try and get close Sigma 70-200mm in hand.

First, a picture from the police escort preceding the torch.

Not everybody gets a comfy motorbike

It was surprisingly good fun to be there. Hard to get pictures when the crowd surges in front of you and all you get is heads though.

I've seen the price of this EOS M!
£769 with a 18-55 lens and a flash.

I`m glad I didnt wait for the Canon mirrorless as its not as good as I hoped it would be, in terms of not having much in terms of manual control and no chance of adding an EVF. I use the Olympus OMD now and what an outstanding bit of kit this is, its that capable that im leaving the 5D at home when I go on a trip to New York in September, and purely shooting with MFT gear.

Then the French style street sign is a nice touch of authenticity!

Rob that's a great shot.

Andy some super bike shots there if you 'scuse the pun

Many congrats to Ian and Mrs Ian on the arrival of Oliver.

Lee - love the critters in the garden, especially the bunny, love the angle.

Matt - nice OCF at the wedding.

Wendy - some more great Olympic relay shots.

Mr Gundogs is going to a few days - mostly athletics, and weightlifting. A couple of his friends are in the discus. He's also got great seats for the 200m final which should be amazing with Usain Bolt competing.

I did a wedding yesterday, golly it was soooo hot, felt sorry for the girls in their gowns. Will put a few pics up later when i've had a proper chance to edit them.

Gulp. Getting my photography feet wet again, I've gone and bought a camera.

Not what you'd expect though, this one will either stretch me or break me.

Because people can and people will. I have done it and it is not worth the money. Cool for a giggle but just far too much effort in the end. Need to wait until the 2nd/3rd gen before I would say its worthwhile.

What I would like is something that size with full manual control and IS for video...for that price too...and FF

You could always save up and get a black magic camera ;)
