from adorama. I bought the Canon for $39.99. I really hope it's legit, I'm always worried about batteries because I got ripped off by a knockoff once before.

I'm actually gonna get me a 3rd before my trip to Disneyworld comes up for sure. :cool:

I went with Amazon got a China battery from SterlingTek.com 1600 mAh seems as good as the original. I keep the GPS off and IS to shot only and the battery life for both batteries is the same as my other Canon cameras that use the same NB5L batterys

So far so good, Canon authentic battery and lasts pretty good.

I've had the "Cheap0" batteries before and while they seem to do well they die pretty quickly after about 8-12 months. Well they don't die but they don't last worth crap after then.
