I've started research on some flash triggers for a speedlite setup that I'm building up. I've been reading a lot about the RF-603 and came across some information on the recently announced YN-622 transceivers. The YN-622 transceivers seem to address all the issues that users were having with the RF-603 units (hot shoe lock, on/off switch on the side, TTL support etc.). I'm tempted to wait for the YN-622 units to get released, but I may end up getting a pair of RF-603 units just to play around with.
I'm fine with the lack of TTL support from the RF-603 units, but it would be nice to have it with the YN-622 set. I'm comfortable shooting in manual flash mode. My question though is what are the limitations of controlling manual flash with the RF-603 units? Will I have to make all adjustments on the flash unit itself, or can I make the OCF adjustments from my 7D's flash settings menu? If the RF-603 units do not allow for changing manual flash settings on camera, will I be able to do this with the YN-622 units?
