To be honest after using the 5DIII, I can't help but feel that my 5DII is defective. That is how much superior the 5DIII auto focus is. I would sell my 5DII immediately if I got $1200 for it. If the focus of the 5DII was as good as the 5DIII then I wouldn't sell it ever. I guess if you take pictures in good light or via Live View then the 5DII is an excellent choice. But if you take pictures in low light and you are not good in manual focusing then forget the 5DII.

ill buy your 5d2 for 1200, pm incoming

Ebay is your best bet for selling. After fees I will likely net around $1550 for a 21k shutter count clean copy. The market is raging hot at Ebay. I never had so many watchers on a auction before. I fetched $1660 for my copy there and I couldn't a bite here for $1500 I pay all expenses.

So two cameras are selling like hot cakes; Nikon d800's and Canon 5dII's. No surprise there. The d800's have been providing the brick and mortar shops with a banner year in sales.

So true, I was talking a local (90 miles away, but it's the only one) shop late last week, they'd gotten 17 D800's in the afternoon before I showed up and when I wandered in hoping to grab one was told they were already gone, and they still had 7 back orders.

I will probably run my 5d2 until its death. Just to good a camera to sell for 1200 even if I get a 5d3 or some other full frame camera.

I would never, ever sell my 5D2, let alone my 300D.

I will pass these cameras to my son in the future.

I'll give you $10k for both.

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

i sold mine a couple weeks ago for 1500 with 40k on the shutter.

its a backup to my 5d3 that i hardly use. might as well sell it before they announce this "entry level cheap FF DSLR" and the prices drop even more

When, someday, they drop below $1000, I'll buy one again. I really miss mine...it was just too damned big and heavy to haul all over the place as my primary camera.

Meanwhile, a friend of mine just bought a used 5Dc for $500. That's a miiiiighty tempting price.

I regretted selling mine a couple weeks ago. I thought $1600 was a good price to fund the new 5DIII. I wanted to unload it before it depreciates more. The 5DII was my first FF camera.

My niece is an aspiring photographer so could have passed it on to her. When I told my niece that I have sold my camera, her reaction was "why did I sell my soul?" It could have been a very nice present to her!

I'm camera-less at the moment so now spending time here drooling on people's gears and pictures
