A business trip to Rhode Island left me with time to stop at Newport to catch a sunset on Goat Island.

Nice sky,sun and bird. Too bad the boat and bridge silhouette merge. Can you lighten the boat.

Great timing with the bird in there; it's a perfect bird silhouette. Lovely sky, and very nicely exposed. It's a pity that this perspective puts the boat and bridge silhouettes so close together, however. It would be nice to have more separation between them so they wouldn't look so 'tangled up' together, but they are still legible.

Well, I'll admit that the photo could be a bit more punchy, but that edit brought out some crazy blue artifacts on the boat and the bridge and made the sun's reflection look artificial.

Do you know the different between jpg an raw? This is a jpg file, its just an idea not for a final product. But your are right, I see the artifacts too :lol:

Damm! looking from another monitor, I when overboard with the reflections, Lol!

No, never heard of raw...is that like an uncooked carrot or something? :cool: :p I don't mind the pastels of the original; they seem quite natural and relaxing.
