Trust Fund :D

No need for a trust fund for this guy:

He is John Doerr (external link), head of the venture capital firm KPCB and he is worth something like $2.2 billion :D. Using a T4i and a 18-200mm lens here. If anything, I would have expected him to use a 1Dx or a D4 or something :p

Not everyone has to get the latest and greatest. Some people are smart with their money and get the one that will get them the results they are looking for.

that's a pretty ignorant statement to make, Eagle. You're implying that anyone who gets the latest and greatest is not smart with their money...

No, not everyone. There are people that it is a good choice to get the newest. There are others that get it just because it is the newest. And I said it because of this:

So do I. I have this discussion with my wife quite frequently when she asks for something we don't need. Her argument is often, "Baby, we can afford it."

My standard reply is, "If we bought everything we can afford, then at some point we wouldn't be able to afford everything we can afford."

After a few seconds of a quizzical look, she moves on to something else.:D

Don't know about the body but it is a 100-400L lens.

Have seen others do that with the little camcorders and even a point and shoot. Can capture two different formats at once

No, its a 28-300L, the 100-400L has another shaped hood
