I am like that. I get a picture then spend ages looking up what kind of bird it was as I try and name the file in Lightroom lol.
Saw a Green Woodpecker yesterday...... I think :-)

Thanks, that was what motivated me to keep this, the backlighting on the wings was really nice, as was the blue sky that day.

There are some folks who know their birds on this forum, if you ever get stuck, give them a shout. :-)

Does someone have a 7D and a 5Dmk3 comparison photo? Say a shot of a scene with the same lens, but swap out the body to one or the other, take the same pic, to post here?

I'm going to buy the 5dmk3 most likely and curious as hell what the actual difference is.

if there is one posted in here, let me know what page. 18 pages is a bit much to search :)
