Show me your Think Tank belt system!

I am looking to move to a Think Tank belt system...can anyone show me your set-up?

Would be interested to see some setups also... looking at either the Think Tank or Lowepro belts.

What do you want to know? I've got the full set (that is the Think Tank Steroid Speed Belt V2.0, Digital Holster 50, Lens Case 75 Pop Down, Lens Changer 50, Speed Changer and Pixel Racing Harness), added a Gitzo tripod carrier to it AND have an extra Camelbak to provide extra storage for filters and food and some other odds and ends....

As a good photographer, I try to be on as few pictures as possible.....

Here is my setup

Pro Speed belt
speed changer (jumbo blower, extra batteries, cell phone wallet keys, 15mm fisheye and other small lenses 50mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.8) not all at once.
lens changer 35 (24-70 w/hood)
lens changer 50 (17-40 w/ hood)
LC 75 pop down (70-200 f2.8L IS w/hood) Also makes good for a large water bottle

this think tank system reminds me of my toolbelt. It can get kind of heavy on your hips, and after a long day, I think that a toolbelt with suspenders is by far the most useful one. It doesnt slip down with prolonged use, and the extra shoulder suspenders to wonders balancing the load between your shoulder and hip. Not sure how it can be implemented into a system like this without a complete overhaul, but it would be the best solution for working pros that shoot for long stretches of time.

They do have optional suspenders for the belts.

Thanks for posting those pics, Sevan! That Speed Changer looks the perfect size for a belt like this... I am on the fence between this and a Lowepro Technical Belt. I'm sure they are both good.

I had a hard time selecting a final belt system and laugh at myself as I think of your situation. I love, really love the belt system. I started slowly with the think tank, Then I watched some video on the Street and Field belt system from LowePro. I don't care to admit in writing on the internet, but oh well here goes, I ended up buying many parts of both systems. My work takes me into a wide range of shooting situations and I found advantages to both and now own lots of components from both. These video will help confuse you. Ha. All in good fun. Regardless, You can't go wrong with either system and the belt system is a good way to go.

Haha I know, it's kind of a silly situation to be in huh? Thanks for the advice and links, I will check those out. I guess at the end of the day, either system will work well and do what it's supposed to so can't really go wrong!

One other thing that I found surprising in my quest, is that I prefer the Think Tank skin units over the Modular. i have always selected more padding over less, but since using some skin system components, I like the thinner lighter weight belt packs.

I partially loaded it but I have space for one more item on the belt...as a bigger guy OF COURSE I would have space:p
Maybe at some point some will ask for me to show my gear...

Personally I would not use that without suspenders and any great deal of gear in them. I have used similar style utility belts in the past, and not only do they put weight purely on the hips without spreading anything to the shoulders and down through your core, but they are also at far higher risk of critical failures.

When a single shoulder strap like in a sling bag suffers a failure, you generally have the ability to quickly pull your arms in against your body, and you can likely 'catch' things before they completely crash to the ground. I've had it happen a few times, and it feels almost like an instinctive reflex. With something mounted purely around the belt line, you then lose that reflex, and are far more likely to have something drop completely on you.

With the single point belts, you are also at risk of easier accidental buckle release. I've done it a few times with utility/tool belts by squeezing in spaces and not noticing I've half unlatched it, then either bumping it somehow at another time, or having the strain pop the piece on me.

Shoulder straps also offer you a place to mount small items closely at hand up along your chest. My Favourite tool belt had a back cross suspender system, which held a folded rain poncho high on the back out of the way. (It also doubled as a pillow. Was a very sweet little rig.)
