Has anybody tried the canon support center in Hollywood? Are they ok? I'm a cps gold member and would like my 5d2 checked and cleaned, and I'm way closer to the hollywod service center than the irvine spot.

Sorry, can't answer, this is the first I heard of it. The center is less than a year old, but from their sites it appears to be geared towards cinema professionals.

For those interested...

what kind of scenery are you looking for?

I would like a few places, something along the coast would be nice as well as some more modern architecture. Just a place that will be nice and clean for reflections and where I can set up the car to shoot for a bit. I try to stay out of LA just because of the pains of shooting that happen there(getting kicked out or the cops called every time I shoot there so I just dont go).

Thanks Patrick, hope the Bluefin are biting nothing like fresh tuna on the boat.

I like the shots, especially the angle on the skateboarders, very well done. Oh and that bikini shot is not bad either...Hehehehehehe.

The Laguna Beach area is nice but crowded this time of year, also Huntington Beach but avoid this weekend due to the surfing contest. As for architecture, Irvine near Jamboree & 405 has some great buildings with lots of glass and neat designs.

The schedule shows that Canon will be there. I wonder if they will have their equipment line-up on display. It would be great if they brought along the new 200-400 lens.

Gratchie, thanks for posting!
