Doesn't say if the 7D is able to be bundled with the lenses. Guess one would just have to call and hope they get the right person.

From Page one, Post one of this thread:

Are Lens or Flash products available with this program? In addition to the kit options for the T series, the 50D, and 60D, you may purchase one additional refurbished lens, and one refurbished Speedlight from the following list:

EF 17-40 f4 L
EF 24-105 f4 L IS
EF 28-135 f3.5 IS
EF 50mm f1.4
EF 50mm f1.8
EF 70-200 f2.8L IS USM II
EF 70-300 f4-5.6 (Non-L)
EF 75-300 f4-5.6
EF 85mm f1.8
EFS 10-22 f3.5-4.5
EFS 18-135 f3.5-5.6 IS
EFS 18-200 f3.5-5.6 IS
EFS 55-250 f4-5.6 IS
EF 2x Extender II
Speedlight 430 EXII

Pricing is 80% of the current refurbished price on the Canon Direct website (multiply current price by .80)
There is no option for purchasing a stand alone lens under this Program. Naturally, lens options are based on availability.
Lens must be ordered at the same time as the camera. If you purchase a lens or flash in conjunction with your camera, your shipment will be upgraded to 2nd Day at no additional charge.

First post is updated on a regular basis (every Monday morning and whenever significant changes occur).

At this stage most of the customer service representatives seem to be on the same page (unlike earlier in the program).

Good luck with your purchase!

I'm not sure where you saw the charge for either eoscount or eosinfo. I just tried both services and was able to download and install both for free without any prompt for payment.

Congrats on the new 60D! - - Good shooting!!

Just seeing your note on the two programs to get a camera count and wondered which one works with the 50D, 7D and 5D3?

How can I check the shutter count after I receive my refurbished camera? Shutter count for the 40D, 50D, and 5DMII can be determined with EOSinfo. Download the program here: http://astrojargon.net/EOSInfo.aspx (external link).

If you want the shutter count for a DIGIC III camera (T1i, T2i, T3i, 7D, 60D, or 1DMIV), the shutter count can be obtained by EOSCount located at www.eoscount.com (external link). You will need a 32 bit browser (IE is preferred, but other browsers have workarounds to allow the Active X operation).

There is also an application developed for Linux called gphoto2 that can be used for the 7D (and I assume the other bodies as well). Full instructions for booting Linux on your Windows PC or Laptop can be found on this post: https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=11813682&postcount=19

Download site for gphoto2 is located here: http://www.gphoto.org/ (external link) Gphoto2 can also be used via openSUSE, Redhat, etc.

MOkoFOko has also posted a step by step tutorial on how to use the Linux emulator on a Windows platform.
For step by step instructions see MOkoFOko's thread here: https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1058019

eoscount will also work for the 5D Mark III, but since the 5DMIII is not part of the CLP, I did not include it.

Thanks. I wasn't aware it was updated so often. IIRC in reading it said that sometimes the reps weren't giving the 5DII using the discount and to call and ask.

Discount changed for the 5DMII on July 1st - new price is 10% off the Canon Direct pricing (used to be 20% off).

Congrats on the new 60D! - - Good shooting!!

maybe he's (eoscount) testing out a payment service that I stumbled on to? AFTER I connected camera, where I normally saw the shuttle count, it said "Available."
I was confused at first, but them saw a link to buy what appeared to be a one time read of the camera data for about $1.50.

Thanks for the congrats mate...:) I think i will forgo any shutter count worry, and just go for it. I returned last camera because of a mirror smudge, and high count. This camera is perfectly clean.

you actually need to physically send camera in btw. They didn't ask for serial number at time of purchase.

I got no love form this group on getting a camera. Regrettably sending in my son's AA battery model. It's only worth a nickle, but he still liked it.

From the sell forum:

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1147763

There is some inconsistency regarding the serial number issue. Some of the customer service reps request it when you order, others do not.

Same situation regarding the return of the trade-in. Some POTN members have reported not bothering to ship in the trade in with no adverse effects. Since Canon is paying for the shipping of the trade in with the prepaid return label, I would error on the side of dropping it in the mail to avoid the hassle of having to deal with the loss of the discount after the fact - - (your call).
