I heard the 7D is known to be pretty good with ISO since it's one of the newer models along with the 5DM3. Maybe you're confusing ISO with night vision? :P

Haha, yeah, I don't like the 7ds ISO at all, but your right...I was pushing pretty hard in that cave. I'm saving for that 5d mkIII...SOOOON!

ISO on 7D is great. I think these pics have great potential but the fact that you cant see the cave makes it kind of pointless. just my humble opinion.

May I suggest Long exposure with you running around with your flash on manual? That's always fun in caves.

Have a 7D myself and initially what I thought was not so good ISO performance was really a reflection of the poor editing software I was using in the abilities to reduce noise. Once I tried Neat image, Noise Ninja, Dfine, type programs, it is quite amazing what can be cleaned up in my photos with the 7D that on my older bodies just wasn't possible much less on my software, which is Lightroom 4, while it is good, just can't compare to the output of those noise specific programs. Neat Image has a unlimited trial, maybe give it a shot next time you try high ISO, I regularly use 3200 and 6400 in dark churches and the like and can clean them up nicely.
