Maybe you're confusing ISO with night vision? :P Gear List (5D3, 70-200 f2.8L IS II, Sigma 85mm f1.4, Sigma 35mm f1.4, 50 f1.8, 24-105L, Alien Bee lights, etc etc)

Once I tried Neat image, Noise Ninja, Dfine, type programs, it is quite amazing what can be cleaned up in my photos with the 7D that on my older bodies just wasn't possible much less on my software, which is Lightroom 4, while it is good, just can't compare to the output of those noise specific programs. Neat Image has a unlimited trial, maybe give it a shot next time you try high ISO, I regularly use 3200 and 6400 in dark churches and the like and can clean them up nicely.
