Dang,

Looks like $650,000 worth of gear to me, makes me wonder if Canon wrote those off for the Olympics and donate them thereafter to the pros to promote their new gear?

Crikey.. that's a Canon dream come true right there.

I bet they ship those off to the next big event, and the next after that etc. Write-off for sure for Canon, but I doubt they simply give the stuff away, doesn't make much sense, unless they're trying to convert some Nikonians :)
