Robert has always been so responsive and his guidance and suggestion so well thought out.

Count me in on a restoration of his privileges on the forum.

Any idea who we can contact and how?

I don't know that Robert would want to come back.

I don't think a petition is the right course of action in this particular case. I think since the final decision rests solely with Pekka (this is his site after all), it would be better to private message him or any of the other Mods and let them know how much we would like to have them reconsider the ban on Robert in this case.
I understand the need for rules and will of course still visit and participate in this wonderful place but when a fellow member such as Robert is no longer here the atmosphere just seems different. Hopefully he can again one day contribute.

I'm still curious exactly why he was banned. I know he and Matt had some disagreements......

I'll bet Lassie could find him. Where's Timmy, maybe he can get Lassie to find Rob.

He won't come back

Not true. I have an email from him tonight, stating his willingness and enjoyment to be a part of POTN, should the Moderators permit him to return.

If the POTN community wants to support a campaign for his return to POTN membership, he is willing. The apparent reason behind his permanent ban seems to not fit the actual circumstances, it would seem from what I have been told.

I'd imagine this thread is showing that there is plenty of favor towards his return.

I wonder if the Mods know this. I'm sure they thought it through when he was originally banned
but it's so easy to be misinterpreted on the internet.
I wonder if a powwow between them would clear up any misconceptions if they do exist.
It couldn't hurt.

According to what was conveyed to me (just re-read the email to make sure I am not misinterpreting!)... One moderator didn't investigate the circumstances behind a forgotten account, and did a simple 'no two accounts' interpretation and permanent ban, and a second one failed to sympathize to an emailed explanation from Robert, but merely upheld the POTN rule for 'no two accounts'.
