Nobody really cares about using a Nikon when you post i 90% of the forum here. Obviously there are some places you should avoid (out of courtesy), such as the gear-specific forums like T2i photos, etc., but all the photo sharing and talk forums are fine.

Everyone's pretty friendly here, even to the Nikon users.

Thank you. bw!

One place you might try is PhotoCamel.com. They do have a Nikon section along with sections for Canon and other manufacturers. It is similar to POTN in a lot of ways but has an active Nikon section.

I'm kind of the same after the theft of all my Canon gear. Nowhere is as good as here. FM is nice but even though I'm on Noink now I don't want to go anywhere else so hope that the Noink's are catered to also in the near future :)

If you would bother to pay attention you would have known that the new forum will come.

I really disliked nikonians and, in addition, their website usage/navigation was just .... crap overall.

IMHO, POTN is primarily a photography site, and then a Canon site second. whatever gear you have, it still boils down to proper exposure, composition, timing, quality of light ... etc. :)

having said that, dynamic range, suppression of noise in the shadows, quality of lenses, still come into play. :D

I agree that the forum is pretty diverse.. However when new nikon gear is released its still bashed and the bias is very obvious. No big deal really, just the way it is. In addition to that theres little nikon gear for sale, which leaves me to craigslist and ebay for lenses etc. Not my first choice as I have come to trust a large majority of the forum members here since the community does a good job of looking out for each other.
