HDD Damage... Can someone help ?

which windows do you have installed on Laptop?

Make sure the other computer you use to access your hard drive has same OS or newer!

Partitions created using vista or later are using new rules that are not entirely compatible with previous windows.

Using Winxp to access those partitions may not be successful.

I think its worth mentioning.

What you say may be true, but in this case I don't believe it's at all likely to be the problem.
