Hey everyone. Just got me a 7d and was wondering how you guys have your custom functions set up?

By custom functions I mean the ones I II III And IV. Why did you chose your options?

Also feel free to post your setup for c1 c2 and c3 as well.

Thanks

I will give you mine as the number chosen per section. 99% of these were made per canon's recommendation.

2. 0,3,0
3. 1 step under 0,0,1,0,0,all enabled,0,0,0,0,0

I change my custom functions per what I want to shoot. I have setups stored in the C1, C2 and C3 memories for recurring types of subject (mainly sports/action), and the custom functions stored within these setups aren't at all the same as those I use for everyday shooting.

So it's not really possible to give a setup that fixes it all.

If you ask about some particular function's suitable application for a specific purpose, then we'll probably be able to give you some more constructive help.

I found this gem (external link) when I got my 1D3, and I believe all of these functions are available on the 7D, from what I've seen POTN folks discussing. My favorite sports to shoot are in that doc, and I went pretty close to their recommendations.

Maybe this link (external link) is helpful too, as far as understanding the purpose of the custom functions in the 7D.
