I love it. I'm planning on picking up a Garmin watch here soon too. I love how interchangable all the sensors are and such. The awesome thing about the Garmins too is you can get them setup for multiple bikes. So I can use the same computer on say a road, tri and mountain bike and just get cadence/speed sensors for each.

There are times where the 800 would be nice when I'm out exploring, but for almost all of the riding I do the 500 is perfect for me. You really can't go wrong with either though.
