I've got the Canon 7D and I rarely ever edit my pictures beyond cropping and straightening, I'm also new to all of this as I've only had my camera for less than a year. Always loved photography but probably only know the basics to it. I was looking at professional photos being sold as artwork and many of the pictures have this like finishing touch that makes a clear difference to any other normal picture. I took this picture of a hibiscus; https://www.dropbox.com …ariatq_II8#f:IMG_7138.JPG (external link)
How do I get this picture to look more like this; http://www.photo4me.com …etails.asp?PictureID=8853 (external link)
Has photo editing been used or does this person probably have better equipment and experience?

The photo of the tulip was taken in a controlled substance probably using a macro lens or a lens with a high aperture. Lighting is important when you are macro/close-up shots to get all the detail. This probably wasn't edited as much as you think. Look on youtube for close-up photography on flowers, there are tons of videos showing you how to take photos like that. Hope this helps
