The documentation ( EOS 1D-X Wired LAN Instruction Manual) seems to hint that the LAN connection can be used just as a USB connection. I typically use the EOS utility to transfer images to my PC / MacBook over USB, and moving a couple hundred RAW images over Gigabit wired ethernet is surely going to be fast ... As far as I know this can only be done by using the ftp function, however I could be wrong. Does anyone else know as I am also interested in this.

I tried this and it works. However I imagined it should be much faster compared to USB, which I normally use. TooManyHobbies wrote in post #14820545 ![]() B&H just shipped mine! There's no reason to suggest that there would be more dust on the 1DX than any other body. The 1DX also actually has a newer, improved dust removal system. -Chris (also formally known as "imtrashed" if searching feedback thread)

Ironically, my 1D X was delivered with one of the dirtiest-from-factory sensors I've seen yet. I was able to clean the sensor with only a Rocket Blower ![]() Unfortunately, I continue to find this sensor with dust on it - and have had to use sensor cleaning swabs ![]() Full review here: http://www.the-digital-picture.com …al-SLR-Camera-Review.aspx Canon EOS 7D | EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM | EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS |
