Just picked up a 28-1.8 today, after trying a 17-40 for a couple days. This lens leaves that particular L in the dust.

28 is a great FOV, and this thing is scary sharp at 2.5-2.8.

Anyone want a generic EW-63II, LNIB? Not even a mark on it, I had this lens for 4-5 days before returning it. I bought the hood 2-3 days before returning the lens.

35 shipped, which is what I paid for it + shipping!

Every time I think I should get rid of this lens I find a use for it.

Sooo, I just got the 28, and still have my Sigma 30. Would anyone be interested in seeing some comparison images? Or have any suggestions for tests I could do?

I'm pretty much sold on the 28 (since I'd like to go full-frame eventually). But yes! (:

A few recent ones. I use this lens anywhere, from close up shots to landscapes. Great bang for the buck.

I'm particularly interested about the color rendition. From the image samples I have seen, the Sigma colors appear better (just my opinion). But I'm not sure how much the lighting conditions and PP got to do with it.

Pls if you can shoot them side by side and post without much PP, it would be a good comparison IMO. I have seen another user post a similar comparison, in the Sigma thread, but would like to see a few more.
