Has anyone ever had a jigsaw puzzle made from one of their photos?

Just wondering if anyone has ever had a jigsaw puzzle made from one (or more) of their photos?

I'm talking about those large, 1,000 - 5,000 piece, giant, quality, jigsaw puzzles.

I've seen a lot of excellent photos, esp landscapes, and scenic images that IMHO would make excellent, and very challenging jigsaw puzzles.

So I'm just curious.

Thanks.

Thanks. :)

I love doing jigsaw puzzles, and once they're finished, I even frame them...the really big ones at least. It makes the effort all that much more worthwhile.

I especially think that photos such as the first one of these two, (and even the second one.) would make great, challenging, jigsaw puzzles.

It would also be another way for photographers to earn some extra cash, or another market for their photos.

I think that would be a great idea. My kids would love to make a puzzle of them.

That's awesome!

How big of a puzzle...size wise, and number of pieces did you make?

I've been meaning to have this done. There are all kinds of places that do it, but it's not cheap. When I finally get around to it, I plan to put the puzzle together, look at it for a while, then donate it to the local library for their puzzle making table.

The ones I've seen done are wonderful. Should not be a problem.

I ordered one as a novelty for someone that I just couldn't think of anything else to give as a gift. I ordered through a pro lab as I had seen one done through a Walmart/Costco sort of place and it was horrible. The one I got was done top notch and the pieces fit together nicely. The one I had done was an 11x17 and when viewing from a few feet away the cut lines were not all that visible.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

My daughter had one made for my dad from a picture I took. Frankly, I was astonished at how well it turned out as I thought the process would mutilate the image or the IQ would be garbage due to the enlargement size (around 18 x 24). He's so happy with it it's framed and hanging on his dining room wall now.

It sure seems like a good gift idea for someone that likes to do puzzles.

I can ask her where she got it done if you need a source if you need. Just let me know. Though I'm sure there are plenty of options.

Much appreciated, thank you.

Would it be possible for you to post a picture of the completed puzzle please?
