No express shipping.. tisk tisk !

I was thinking the same thing.

Me, myself, I've got a system:
Under $1k- ship it ground- 3 to 5 days.
Above $1k- but under $2k- ship it next day
$2K or more- express shipping- 10:30 delivery to the office!

I've not long picked up one of these for myself and you will not be disappointed.

I was debating whether or not I needed something this good but I'm glad I bought it. Given that all the other options were also brilliant, I figured I may as well have the best of a great bunch.

Big dreams, small wallet.

I was going to make a thread saying the same thing, but I will just comment on this one. I just got my new 70-200 F2.8 II today. Holy CRAP is all I can say. I didn't understand what sharpness and quality were until shooting with this thing. I love my 17-55 2.8 and this puts it to shame. The following two shots are not good shots, but considering they were shot at ISO 3200, F2.8 with my Rebel T2i, at shutter speeds of 1/25 (165mm) and 1/20 (115mm) respectively, handheld...I couldn't believe how useable they turned out. Just two examples.

The problem with this lens is catching too much attention... (which I don't like it). Everything else is just perfect.

From what I heard, Canon is starting abandon date code thing, but I might be wrong.

I heard from a few people about Canon is abandon the date code. I was worry at first when I realized mine didn't have a date code, but after confirming with a few people on POTN, I'm good.

I would agree with this. You cannot shoot with this lens in public without some people staring at you. If you don't mind then no biggie, but if you care then it's something to consider vs. the F4 versions (even they draw some attention)
