I've used a 70-200mkI before. Size and weight wasn't a problem. The only reason I still don't have one is that zooms make me shoot differently. I get lazy and complacent.
The 70-200 is the defacto event lens though...

kasey Member 191 posts Joined Mar 2009 More info | I am probably a bit different than most people here. I have both but I use my 85L lots more often than my 70-200. The sheer bulk and weight of 70-200 just renders it difficult to use an a casual basis, plus the bokeh from 85L is hard to beat.
