"IDsurfer" Exposure lock on the s90 is achieved by pressing the shutter button halfway then the top part of the back dial, then release both buttons, then find the object you want in focus and press shutter button again halfway then shoot. The picture below shows the part of the button on the back that is pressed to get exposure lock. I'm sure the s100 is done the same way. Enjoying your pictures, by the way...very sharp and colorful.

Thanks Russ!! That works perfect! I have been too lazy to dig around and figure it out. A bit more cumbersome than with the G series, but works none the less. I am having a good time time with this camera, you just have to get in the groove. ;)

I threw it in my pocket when the wife & I went for a sunset stroll yesterday. The vivid colours were caused by scrub fires over on the mainland.
