Hi All!

Obviously the 1DIII is faster focusing than the 5DII but does this including better low light focus performance too?

I was just wondering because I'm in the market for a 2nd body specifically for weddings. I had an event last week where ambient was as bad as I've seen and my 5DII could not keep up.

Thanks.

My experience, shooting both bodies side-by-side, is that the 1D mkIII has better low-light focusing. It lock on in light that the 5D mkII gives up in.
YMMV:)

Eric

Agreed...

The 5D2, 7D and 1D4 are all worse than the 1D3 (at least in AI Servo), but it sounds like the 5D3 is back to what the 1D3 is capable of.
