Wow! The colors in the sky in the first 3 are beautiful! I really like the 3rd shot.

Great shots...Tell the truth: Did you add the rainbow?...Reason I ask is that it seems to be too perfectly placed.

Not at all. Here's a wider angle after the Ryanair had passed through. I did boost the saturation a little though....

Plus, if i was going to photoshop an aircraft in, it would have been something a damned sight more interesting than these two, lol!! I did briefly toy with sticking the Antonov over the top, but i don't think it would have worked as the light was waaaay different by then...

This is a case where I'd suggest that the first image be a little wider crop to show off more of the natural rainbow, because it's unusual to see that & the rainbow is as important to me as the aircraft is.

Its a very subjective pastime we have isn't it. I personally thought the crop i chose was the best to highlight the subject, but i do appreciate your critique.

The fact that people are questioning the validatity of the original image means i've accomplished the goal i set out to achieve when i saw the aircraft approach. I was actually hoping that someone would accuse me of skullduggery, lol!!

Added to that, the rainbow wasn't very well formed so i did decide a closer crop would work better. Had it been a better formed rainbow i would be inclined to agree with you...
