Nice work Jennifer, one of my seniors has requested something similar to your #1, so timing was perfect to help me visualize. Pants seem a little hot in #4, but probably unavoidable. These are all very creative.

I know, but we had a burning ban at the time! I'm thinking next time to make up for it, to use a real flaming bat and have the senior pose on railroad tracks!:p

Couple from last weekend. Venturing out of the studio (i.e. out of my comfort zone), so I'd be curious to hear any feedback on the outside shot.

A couple of suggestions. Firstly, simplify your background. There are way too many things going on back there that take away from your subject. Unless you are using the background elements as a prop of some sort you generally want to create some space between your subject and whatever is behind them. It looks like your flash is throwing a shadow up behind and beside him. If you cant move the flash higher consider using a surface to bounce off of so that its apparent direction is more natural. Any bit of white posterboard or something like that will work if you dont have a ready bounce surface.
