5d3 here I come!

I've been looking around for a deal on a 5d3 now for some time and nearly pulled the trigger on the 4299 adorama deal that comes with the grip for free...

Long story short I found a Craigslist add for the body brand new w receipt apparently non gray market asking 2999.00..

I'll be picking it up tomorrow for 2800.00!

I'll (hopefully) report back after I get it.

Just had to share my excitement.

Looks like I'll be selling the 7d kit I picked up. Any offers? Lol

They sell for sub $3k already?

Make sure it's not a scam :)

Congrats if it's legit!

I too ordered a 5D3 through Adorama for the free grip (sell the lens after and maybe profit). I had a photo session for last night and didn't want to pay the $180 for 1 days shipping to Canada so just bought locally and now I don't have the hassle of having to sell the 24-105 on classifieds. Could have gone used but wanted to be the first owner, not to mention be able to return if something went wrong. Always worth the extra $. But yeah, hope everything goes smooth for you. Going mark 3 is a surreal experience (at least for me).

Congrats on the deal! I hope it works out for you!

@ Pearl, I probably would have bought that 24-105 if you went that route!

I will add the guy was very shady on the phone when i started asking about reciepts..we both raised our voices a bit but i made it clear that im not buying a 300.00 point n shoot from him but a 2800 monster so i just wanted to make sure i had a warranty. I nearly ended it right there but in the end we worked it out and x changed at starbucks.

he said he has some lenses too..lol i told him to email me.

I must live in a nicer neighborhood. We pay thugs to carry the guns for us. Oh, a nice Zinfandel goes better than Jack with a CL rip-off. Didn't your mom teach you anything?

OP, happy shooting. I hope to get a 5D3 in March/April.
