The blackjack shot is awesome! Such a useful little bugger the 30 is.

Hi mate, I'm using exactly the same combo like yours (60D + 30 F/1.4). I am really jealous with those images above ;)

I mean that I checked the exif and saw that you took them at 1.4 and 1.6, how could you make it sharp and beautiful like that man?! Any tips pls :D

First of all I think he was very blessed with an extremely sharp copy. My first copy I ordered from Amazon was extremely front focusing but so sharp where it did focus. Instead of keeping that for calibration at Sigma, I decided to return it and order from Adorama instead. The copy from Adorama was only slightly front focusing but overall sharpness was less than the first one I returned. I ended up keeping that one, but I regret my decision to return the first copy from Amazon.

Tried that stuff the other day, disgusting lol. I think it's a mind game b/c your mind wants to think its flavored since its colored, but its just water. Very weird.

This thread is really what pushed me into choosing this lens over the Canon 28mm 1.8. I've had it since April and figured I'd post some of my own.

Thx Dude, Well, make sure you have a good copy of your lens, This is my 2nd one. the first, just didn't wow me like this one does. Keep an eye on your shutter speed and make sure its not vibrations that are causing blur. (even tho these shots were total bs, I just sent my camera to AV 1.4 or 1.6 and started shooting. ) LOL

Just keep trying.

PS a LITTLE unsharp in PS helps too!

I just love this lens! I read a lot of complaints about it's AF but I want to say I really love the AF on my copy (especially with the centrepoint of my 60d). This one is @1.4 while riding a bike. I took a few and all of them are spot on!

Great shots everyone!

Glad you like the lens! Although mine has been calibrated, I don't think it's as sharp as some of the copies here :[But it's one great lens that I don't see myself getting rid of unless I move up to the full frame format.

My sentiments exactly. I gave away my 50 mk1 due to zero usage since purchasing this gem of lens. I tried lens correction in Light Room, but I much prefer the original with distortion, vignetting and all.

Is this lens usable on a full frame camera?

I believe it is mountable but there is a large vignette.
