From an autocross event today. This one is from my reject pile, any guess as to why??

I've got some 28/1.8 vs 24L files if anybody's interested. I made them when I was choosing between the two.

I'm particularly interested about the color rendition. From the image samples I have seen, the Sigma colors appear better (just my opinion). But I'm not sure how much the lighting conditions and PP got to do with it.

Pls if you can shoot them side by side and post without much PP, it would be a good comparison IMO. I have seen another user post a similar comparison, in the Sigma thread, but would like to see a few more.

Both at 1.8. Not very scientific as the shutter speeds are sightly different, but I was quite surprised at the color difference.

Thanks a ton. I'm not a pro, so this is scientific enough for me :). Out of the two images, I find the canon slightly underexposed compared to the Sigma.
Which one you find producing pleasing colors, especially skin tones. Pls keep posting as you get chance to do more tests.

Here is the 28/1.8 and 24L. These are even less scientific, but they showed me enough to make a decision. Only thing really the same is the ISO and aperture. I'm not going to say which is which.

This. To make things easier, I'm going to shoot one brand or the other. I don't want the headache of neutralizing the color rendition of different manufacturer's lenses.

Sigma is the second one, and the Canon is the first in the above?

WARNING!: Before commenting that my color correction is horrible, please keep in mind that I am colorblind, and that hasn't stopped me from trying.

Hmmm, I was thinking the 1st one is the Sigma. Looking at the other pictures that where taken on f/1.8 it looked to me the bokeh of the Sigma 30mm is softer.

The photos I posted are the 28/1.8 and 24L. Sorry if my follow up post confused things.

Okay :-) But which picture comes from the 28/1.8?

First one is the 28 f1.8 and the second one is 24L? I made the guess based on the FOV, the first image being a bit more tighter. Other than that, its quite hard to differentiate (I believe this was your point).

Also the second one shows slightly less vignetting.

Did I get it right?

That was my guess too. The bokeh is better on #2, but I don't really care about that.
