I'm just going through my shots from today and not as many keepers as yesterday, it wasn't helped by the fact that a press photographer, and I use the term very loosely as he only looked about 12, plonked himself in front of me and every time I moved he followed and did it again at one point I had three of them in front of me all standing next to each other.

I like this and the way the person walking across can be seen in a nuber of frames as they cross.

That's not a person, they are Perry Bouys (aka life rings)

Sometimes I take good photos other times !!!!

Ah, good to see a recommendation for them, they've a shop in Reading.

Yes, Novatech would be my choice. The barebones systems are very good.

Good. I'll have to pop into their shop and see what I can do. Thanks for the advice.

While I was at Lydden today a chap stood next to me at one stage with an old Nikon FM10 and shot film like it was going out of fashion I counted 5 rolls in 10 minutes before he moved on.

I know when Rob and I went a couple of years ago we thought the press photographers were really young, makes you think how hard would it be to get acreditation or am just sounding old and patronising

Nice shots Wayne, from those I would say you were on the hill just after the pit exit.

Thanks Adrian, I know a local photographer who knows the the guy that does all the Lydden stuff and from what I've been told he'll take people along but wants to keep all your shots and you'll come away with nothing on your cards, but I suppose if your young and want to gain experience it's something your willing to do.

Cheers Dom. Yes I was mainly there, well a bit further round.

Talking about all the young togs. There was a guy by the team members area with a tog tabard on. In his hand was a 7D with I'm guessing a kit lens. He couldn't work out why the flash kept popping up. :) I didn't have the heart to tell him. :) but it did make me chuckle.

All the gear, and no idea.

I would like the chance to get in the middle with the drifting. I bet on the inside of the cut through with a fisheye would be excellant.

Morning Gang,

I hope everyone's well? Thanks for all your kind Birthday wishes, I feel mildly older and marginally wiser...

love the drifting photos, looks like you all had a good time there!

Pete, another vote for Novatech, Father in Law swears by them too and he builds too many PCs! :)

so who's up to what this week? any photo themed fun? is everyone having Olympic withdrawal symptoms??

a few quick snaps from me over the last few days;
