Sorry to hog the thread but I'd appreciate some c&c on this one. It's from Langemark, the German WW1 cemetery just outside of Ypres. A very sad place compared to the British cemeterys which may seem like a dumb thing to say but I think we were all saddened by the visit.

Another nice picture, Tyne Cot is a very emotional place, I am pretty hard skinned but had a lump in my throat when I went around there.

You will have to send me a link to the hotel

It's hard not to be affected like that. Here's one shot from there that I particularly liked. The first 2 headstones are for unidentified troops. It says "A Soldier Of The Great War" and covered by the flowers "Known Unto God". It is incredibly moving to see the care and reverence with which these places are treated.

A quick edit of one from the weekend. Was fun to have Rob along - great company and knows his stuff about bikes!

Morning folks,

I hope everyone's well?

Great car/bike shots JD - looks like a fun time had by all! what's next on the car list, I suspect it will have to work hard to beat the AMG :D

well the Canon printer arrived yesterday - as suspected no time whatsoever to set it up, but I am really surprised how compact it is - I had a mild panic yesterday when I thought I may not have the room for it in my study, need to get some A3 photo paper and give it a test drive (hopefully later on this afternoon!)

anyone got any photo themed fun planned today?

Next is a Porsche Carrera 4S and then a Peugeot 508 diesel

Glad the printer worked out - A3 paper must cost a ton!!#

Work for me today and some sneaky photo editing...

not sure the Pug is gonna be in quite the same ball park! but in terms of a "real world" car I guess a lot more people own one of those over an SLS AMG! :)

A3 paper is pricey, I'm going to see if I can borrow some plain A3 paper from work and then be very sparing over what I photo print at A3!

I'm only in work again this morning - then no work til Monday! :D

I like the look of this Jonathan. I think, I would try turning down the saturation and see what you get ?

I have always admired graveyards on the continent - we walked around a big one in Italy a couple of years ago and there were taps/watering cans/brooms etc on every row. It was near immaculate.

there seem to be lots of different types of paper on there, then when you read the reviews they all sound like they've been written by the seller! if it sounds too good to be true it likely is - fortunately I had some vouchers burning a hole in my pocket so I spent them on the paper Linda recommended! full review to follow! :D

That seems really cheap! These (external link) are the ones I buy and have worked out really well so far.

Jon, some great shots today. The car image is lovely!
