I've just had a phone call from a friend who does all the photography for the Dover carnival queens and princesses and he asked me if I could do a shoot for an ex carnival princess for a modeling competition as he can't as I'm the only person he would recommended to her, this makes a change as I normally get asked who would I recommend I don't think I've ever been recommended.

That must be a nice feeling, I sure you will do her proud

Hi I have just joined forum never been on one before , I wonder dose anyone know how to fix error 99 on a cannon s l r 350 d .i have cleaned all contacts but to no avail Thank s a mil

Hi and welcome to the thread, i think this must be a first for someones first post to be in our corner of the world. Are you local and it is obligatory to post some pictures of where you from.

Re your error 99 found this on another thread

Canon recommends cleaning the terminals on BOTH the body and the lens with a clean soft cloth without using any liquids. Don't use a pencil eraser as this can remove the gold plating. Then Canon recommends removing the batteries, both the main and the button cell on the battery door and leave them out for about an hour. Then retest, if that doesn't fix the issue then try another memory card, test with a different lens, preferably a Canon, then test with a different battery. If all that fails it probably needs to be sent back for a shutter replacement.

I really struggle to get on with mine reliably. Sometimes they fire ok, sometimes they fire with black banding even though shutter speed ok, and sometimes not at all.

Yeah, me too. :| The black banding is a pain. But, when they work the results are great. :)

Do you always have to turn yours on in a certain order to get them to work properly too? Flash > PW > PW > Camera.

Are PW's not the holy grail of remote triggers I've been led to believe them to be?

Anyone know if Cyber Syncs have the same issues?

I'm hoping it could lead to more and maybe some paying shoots to help pay for this expensive hobby.

As you were recommended, is this one not a paid shoot?

Um...I just turn them on in the order that happens...I try to do it the way you said but never always seem to. Turning them off also seems optional for me at times!

They are very good but can have their moments. Also, the range is not great (something to do with RF noise interfering with the signal).

Sadly Paul no that first paid shoot still eludes me.
