Any idea when they are coming back ?? i would like to buy a couple new sigma lens,,but will wait for a new round of rebates, Thanks Ron

If the features listed are what you're looking for, I think it's a great buy. I'd say it is a stronger performer outside than it is inside. If you want inside shooting, the Sigma 17-50 2.8 is on rebate for $619 right now and it would probably be a better option for you. I debated pretty heavily between the two before I went for the 17-70. ---------------

Ron I have the 17-70mm DC OS HSM lens for my Canon and Sigma DSLR. I like the lens a lot, it rarely ever comes off my Sigma and produces sharp images. I have a larger variety of lenses for my 7D, such as the 24-105mm L so the 17-70mm DC doesn't see as much time on that body as it does on the Sigma.
