I ordered the M Monochrome and its probably going to be late fall but was told it could be as late as next year...Waiting list and all. Depends on how many they get in. I am fairly high up on the list I was told.

With some of the stuff that rumor has will be on the M10 I'm glad I ordered the Monochrome.

Looks like the new M10 (external link) will have video and live view... It would make using EF lenses on the M a lot easier. :)

There's also going to be a lower-cost option called the "ME."

It's a sad day for me... I've decided to give up my M9 :(

Just can't justify keeping it at the moment.

I just can't really justify keeping it. Been doing a lot of work lately that isn't suited for the M9. Really sad to see it go though. It's such a great camera and the glass is unbeatable

Well the M9 has been sold and shipped.

On the plus side, I may go for a 1Dx or 5D3. Not sure yet... :)

a quick question, I went out with an old college buddy and he wants to re use his Leica film lenses and go digital without spending for an M9...can he use his Leica lenses on the Fujix10? Fuji 100 ? ids the Fuji 100 still a good buy? thanks
Also what cameras can mount exakta lenses?

Cheers,
Tony

I know a guy just got his M4 fixed. Sounds like pretty solid support of older products to me.

As far as I know, there isn't a way to do that at this point in time.

The film cameras aren't a problem, I have three film Leicas and first they're really reliable and second service isn't an issue.

I'm a B&W Leica film shooter and only use color for family snaps and suchlike. My choice was between a Sony NEX-7 and a Fuji X-Pro1. I bought the Sony, so much easier to focus than the Fuji and I'm a Fujifilm fan having used an S5-Pro for many years. I'm using both my Leica and Exakta CZJ lenses on the NEX-7 and so far (one month into ownership) everything works very well together.

I ordered an M Monochrome and a 35 summilux a while back. Might have it by the new year.

I mean neither Canon or Nikon service their cameras of similar age as the Leica M4....
