Thank you!
D

That really is a wonderful shot, and even more so, as I have been shooting macro and trying to do the same as you have.

Would you mind providing some info about how you captured this, such as lighting, shutter speed, etc... Processing if you did more than say exposure? Did you use a tripod?
Thanks

just a few of my thoughts...
Pierre

6400 ISO f/4 using the 40mm pancake.
The lighting was amazingly awful, I actually pinned lightroom at 2000 temp to even it out.
NR in LR is 0.

Many props go out to all the super talented landscape photogs out there. It must really take some dedication. I am usually at the mercy of midday sun and could really use a proper wide angle as well. I need to backpack in and get some nice stuff during the golden hours. Nonetheless, this was a beautiful short hike I took with the kids. Should have been call Blue Lake though! ;)

Greetings, this is my first post to any thread on POTN. Although I usually use fast primes, I needed more flexibility on a recent outing and selected an old Canon 55-200 that I got off of ebay for $70. I was pretty happy with the result and will have no issues grabbing the old lens when a prime is too limiting. Photo is at 125mm.

Welcome! Let's see what those prime lenses can do.

Nice shot BTW.

Terrific combo, and a great shot! Were you using ext. tubes or is this a crop?
