I love it. Clean, modern and smart. After looking at your site and work (awesome stuff), it fits your style nicely. Using a different font for "photography" may tone down the modern edge some and make the logo a little more timeless and versatile.

That's mine. I had my signature drawn for the name part.

*here's to hoping it's not a horrible logo concept :)

I love that one, but try changing the font for photography. Maybe by just changing it to a san-serif so that it won't be as distracting.

Here's a concept I've been toying around with for a little while. I'm a fan of monogram logos, and this was the best way I could think to incorporate one into a logo. Thoughts? Is the "aB" visible enough?

If this was meant for me thank you for the tip and I appreciate the comments.

Abruckse,
my first thought was why is that flower missing part of its petal. After you pointed it out I can see it, but not sure if a customer will. If you want to stay with that concept I think maybe moving the top curl of the "a" down towards the circle of the "A" might help distinguish it, and separating the top of the A and B so it's not so symmetrical.
That's just a suggestion. I think it's a great concept, but needs a small change so it doesnt look like a broken flower.

Unless you mentioned it, I would have never saw that. If it's important to you, I would refine the flower. I like the concept though. :D

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I suspected the monogram wouldn't be easily recognizable, and the two of you definitely confirmed that. I will see if I can refine the flower some. Maybe I'll try starting with actual letters and just tweaking them to get a similar effect.

edit: here's a quick tweak of the flower. I'm hoping the color change helps as well. Thoughts?

The "aB" definitely isn't visible enough..I had to take a long, hard look at the flower to see it. Not a bad idea though, I've seen some good suggestions above on how to fix it up.

It's my three middle initials. I actually made the logo before I came up with the name, Dew East Photography.

Those are better. There is still little difference in the colors of the first one. Last one isn't bad, but I still like the first design if you can change the colors to make it more of a 'aB'.

FWIW, I used my initials (MM) as part of my logo, but I didn't make it obvious because I don't use my real name. I just thought it would be a neat graphic to use my initials, somewhat "invisible".

Thanks for the input. Here's another attempt with a second color:

I like it. Just a thought...How about change the 'A.BRUKSE' to 'a.BRUKSE' and change the 'aB' to the colors on your graphic?

I tried the color thing earlier and thought it looked odd, but the little "a" is a good idea. It doesn't look bad with the whole last name colored instead of just the "B".
