Pelican 1514. I took out the padded dividers and use Think Tank Lens Changer cases for the lenses and Tenba Messenger Wraps for the cameras. from left to right, top to bottom:

Canon 70-200 f/2.8L, Epson P3000, 430EX II, 430EX II, 580EX
Canon 24-70 f/2.8L, 100L 2.8 IS MACRO, (batteries for 1D Mark II N and 1D Mark II along with Think Tank memory card wallets), 1D Mark III, 1D Mark II N. (1D3 is missing because it is at Canon service).

Wireless flash accessories, cords, etc. in think tank cable management 10 laid on top of other gear before closing the lid.

Hoping for some advice on what size case I need. I'm putting together a pano kit for my work. Here's what needs to go inside, plus rough overall dims of each:

Manfrotto Pano head (piece #1) 10x6x5
Manfrotto Pano head (piece #2) 10x5x3
XSi body w/ Sigma 10mm Fisheye 6x4x5

I've never used a Pelican case nor the pluck'n'pull and am a little uncertain as to where the interior dims are taken to that are listed on the web. I have no idea how much padding I should leave between everything either. Would I be able to cram everything safely into a 1500 (inside dims 16.75 x 11.18 x 6.12) or would I need something larger? I'd like to get the smallest case that will safely fit all the gear. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and here's a pic of the general layout I was thinking for the pieces (lens is missing from photo obviously). It's 14" across if you don't include any extra area on the sides for padding.

My 1514 with the lid organizer should arrive today!

Now I need to figure out if my Gitzo will fit inside. If not, then that's an excuse for a travel tripod right?

I've had this case a little while, saw this thread today so thought I slap a picture up.

Pictures should explain it all, I've left room for when I can afford the 70-200mm but the space is there :)

I purchased a pelican case a few months ago and still have not put anything in it.

Why?

The damn pick and pluck foam has me hesitating thinking what if i change kit and need to move stuff around and the foam is pulled out.

So I am waiting a tad longer to see if there isnt anything else I may want to add in the case.

Just cut it :) minor changes can be glued back, and replacement foam isn't that expensive from B&H. I had to order more for my original 1400 case and my 1200 case for my gopro.

Yeah and another good tip is use a power knife to cut slots in down the side of the foam, so you can set height to which you pluck the foam :D thats why my stuff all sits flush with the top even thought its all different heights :D

I've got a problem with my Pelican Case 1610. I always liked the case (I used it for 2 years now on a weekly basis).
The problem is that the plastic that holds the wheel is nearly cut in half. I've send an E-mail to the shop, but they say this may not be covered by the warranty...
I also own a Pelican 1510 which is a year older but is still going strong (not a scratch on it).
Is the quality really this bad or did I receive a dud? Please let me know if you had a similar problem.
Thanks!

I was under the impression that the cases carry a lifetime warranty. What is their reason for their response, "may not be covered by the warranty"?
